Day 365: We've reached the completion of our bible reading year! How exciting to have all of you reading with us!
We will begin again this coming Mon. Feb. 2 Before we do, I hope you will leave a comment with a verse or passage that was meaningful to you this past year! I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: “Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.” The Enthroned continued, “Look! I’m making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate.”
Rev. 21:3-5 MSG GOD's Message:
“Heaven’s my throne, earth is my footstool. What sort of house could you build for me? What holiday spot reserve for me? I made all this! I own all this!” God’s Decree. “But there is something I’m looking for: a person simple and plain, reverently responsive to what I say." Isaiah 66:1-2 MSG The LORD says, “Heaven is my throne. The earth is under my control. So how could you ever build a house for me? Where would my resting place be? Didn’t I make everything by my power? That is how all things were created,” announces the Lord. “The people I value are not proud. They are sorry for the wrong things they have done. They have great respect for what I say." Isaiah 66:1-2 NiRv "You’ll have no more need of the sun by day
nor the brightness of the moon at night. God will be your eternal light, your God will bathe you in splendor. Your sun will never go down, your moon will never fade. I will be your eternal light. Your days of grieving are over. All your people will live right and well, in permanent possession of the land. They’re the green shoot that I planted, planted with my own hands to display my glory. The runt will become a great tribe, the weakling become a strong nation. I am God. At the right time I’ll make it happen.” Isaiah 60:19-22 MSG A Full Life in the Emptiest of Places
“If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people’s sins, If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight. I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places-- firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry. You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again." Isaiah 58:9-12 MSG Day 358 Mon, Jan 19, 2015 Revelation 9-10 Isaiah 60
Day 359 Tue, Jan 20, 2015 Revelation 11-12 Isaiah 61 Day 360 Wed, Jan 21, 2015 Revelation 13-14 Isaiah 62 Day 361 Thu, Jan 22, 2015 Revelation 15-16 Isaiah 63 Day 362 Fri, Jan 23, 2015 Revelation 17-18 Isaiah 64 Day 363 Sat, Jan 24, 2015 Revelation 19-20 Isaiah 65 Day 364 Sun, Jan 25, 2015 Revelation 21-22 Isaiah 66 Day 365 Mon, Jan 26, 2015 Reflection “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” GOD ’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.
“So you’ll go out in joy, you’ll be led into a whole and complete life. The mountains and hills will lead the parade, bursting with song. All the trees of the forest will join the procession, exuberant with applause. No more thistles, but giant sequoias, no more thornbushes, but stately pines— Monuments to me, to GOD, living and lasting evidence of GOD.” (Isaiah 55:8-13 MSG) God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from marriage? Children of God, that’s what. So guard the spirit of marriage within you. Don’t cheat on your spouse.
Malachi 2:15 MSG Hasn’t the one God made the two of you one also? Both of you belong to him in body and spirit. And why has the one God made you one? Because he wants his children to be like him. So be careful. Don’t be unfaithful to the wife you married when you were young. Malachi 2:15 NiRv Day 351 Mon, Jan 12, 2015 Malachi 1-2 Isaiah 54
Day 352 Tue, Jan 13, 2015 Malachi 3-4 Isaiah 55 Day 353 Wed, Jan 14, 2015 Revelation 1-2 Isaiah 56 Day 354 Thu, Jan 15, 2015 Revelation 3-4 Isaiah 57 Day 355 Fri, Jan 16, 2015 Revelation 5-6 Isaiah 58 Day 356 Sat, Jan 17, 2015 Revelation 7-8 Isaiah 59 Day 357 Sun, Jan 18, 2015 Reflection |
