Guidelines for leading your group
Read the selected readings for the week prior to group meeting.
Review the questions and jot down some answers or questions you might have.
Bring your questions to group meeting and discuss your findings with your group.
What A Group Meeting Looks Like:
Group assigns portion of reading to one person in the group to re-tell at next meeting.
When groups meets next, the person assigned, retells the portion as best they can by memory.
Group then re-tells story together again, without help from original teller (help and prompt each other).
The bible passage is then read out loud, pausing to note where points were missed or incorrect.
Facilitator has group answer questions.
How to process feelings or circumstances using Gospel Fluency
What am I doing or experiencing right now?
What do I believe God is doing or has done?
In light of what I am doing or experiencing, what do I believe about myself?
What do I believe God is like?
If the answer to these questions is something we know is NOT true about God, then ask the questions again in the order below. Start with what we know about who God or Jesus is.
Who is God / Jesus?
Who are we in light of that work?
What has He done? What is He doing?
How can we live in light of who we are?
